Mary Tveit, Partner, Creative Director

Since Sol’s inception in 2001, Mary has managed Sol’s strategic development, graphic design and web design projects. Her expertise includes brand design and development, brand positioning, consumer understanding, naming, online brand strategy and website design and development.

As Creative Director at Sol, Mary has led rebranding initiatives at Tandus, a carpet manufacturer, and Synq Solutions, a fulfillment and technology provider to the QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) industry. Mary’s artistic eye for design, creative marketing perspective and ability to isolate and integrate corporate messaging with Internet Marketing across multiple channels and brands, have allowed her to change the direction of hundreds of companies.

Prior to establishing Sol, Mary worked at agencies in New York City, managing brand exploration and design projects for prestigious companies like Campbell’s, Lipton/Bestfoods, Maurice Villency, M&M/Mars, MTV, Scudder Kemper, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Unilever HPC. A native of Atlanta, she graduated from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Virginia. She also attended the Parson’s School of Design in New York City.

Hidden Talent: Mary has won the Guiness World Record for simultaneous gum chewing and staring, having watched passers by at a New York City subway station for 18 straight hours while chewing the same piece of Bazooka bubble gum.
