  • The National Center for Civil and Human Rights

Sol was tasked with revitalizing The Center’s online presence at an unprecedented time — in the middle of multiple humanitarian crises! The Center’s role as a museum and cultural institution was significant during 2020’s pandemic and racial protests. They needed a website that was easy to navigate in order to enhance visibility for human rights, increase visitation and inspire action. We worked hand-in-hand with The Center from start to finish — launching just in time for its grand reopening after being closed to the public due to COVID-19.

  • The Intersect Group

When it was time for a new website, The Intersect Group (TIG) wanted to humanize the business of staffing and really hone in on their areas of expertise. Working together with TIG, Sol was able to achieve this request with a light and airy design, authentic photography and fun illustrations. New, streamlined navigation put the site’s most visited pages front and center — making it simple for talent and talent seekers alike to find the resources they need. We’re so proud to have played a part in helping TIG change the talent conversation for good.

  • Nathan Cummings Foundation

Sol completed the design and development of the Nathan Cummings Foundation website in December 2018. The new site brings to life the foundation’s bold new voice and serves as a channel to amplify the foundation’s grantee partners. During the process, Sol collaborated with a wide range of stakeholders and completed a comprehensive content strategy that determined a new method to categorize the site’s robust content with tags and color-coding.

  • Blacklidge Emulsions

Blacklidge Emulsions, a leading asphalt emulsions provider, turned to us to grow its business beyond its local footprint and build a premium brand in a commodity marketplace. The rebranding process was phased out over two years to update all elements of the brand—from the trucking fleet to social media. With a focus on marketing and sales, Blacklidge has grown dramatically, continually surpassing quarterly goals. We are the agency of record for the Gulfport-based brand, responsible for all PR, marketing and thought leadership.

  • Zoo Atlanta

In the summer of 2016, Zoo Atlanta contracted us to design and build a new, user-friendly website that would cater to diverse target audiences and increase their mobile site traffic and memberships. We built the site so that staff from different departments can update only their sections, and the zoo leadership can approve content before it goes live. We also built out custom features to enhance the user experience, including the Create An Itinerary app and a mobile-optimized map with real-time geo-location. After the site’s launch in 2017, sessions are up almost 100%, page views are up 65%, and the bounce rate is down.

  • Mary.

Founder and President Mary Tveit strategizes with clients, designs with our talented creative team and produces content with our fabulous writers. Her goal: bring all of the working parts together into a cohesive, engaging package that gets impressions, clicks and sales. One of her passions is helping social good clients use marketing and technology to elevate their messages. She started her career in NYC and headed South to be closer to her family—an original ATLien. She is the mother of two awesome boys and wife to Mr. Brian Adams (cuts like a knife y’all).

  • Adam.

As Co-Founder and Technical Director, Adam is our clients’ digital guide. Whether he recommends a custom CMS, a marketing automation tool or an internet marketing strategy, he keeps the business objective in mind and the best technology in the forefront. One of Adam’s greatest strengths is presenting complex technology in common speak—often heard in client meetings at Sol: “Oh, that’s what that means, who knew?” When Adam is not working, he’s off running, biking, being a yogi or enjoying time with his lovely wife and two young daughters at home in Decatur.

  • Lindsay.

As the Director of Accounts, Lindsay understands the needs of our clients and ensures our creative team delivers on expectations. Before joining Sol, Lindsay worked at a national agency and various private brands, managing client relations while successfully strategizing large marketing campaigns for Walmart, Ochsner and B2B companies. Her love of marketing and strategy led her to a Master’s degree in Digital Content Strategy from the University of Kansas. When she’s not working, you can find Lindsay relaxing beachside with her husband, daughter and three fur babies or cruising in her Jeep.

  • Jennifer J.

Jennifer is Sol’s social good practice expert and media relations guru. She started in corporate media relations at AT&T and then served as Corporate Public Relations Manager at UPS. She launched her career in the non-profit sector when she built the first communications department for the Thurgood Marshall College Fund in New York. Since then, she’s served Clark Atlanta University, Lincoln Center, SFK-Success for Kids and more. When she’s not imparting her wisdom at Sol, you’ll find her at Georgia State University teaching marketing and public relations.

  • Jennifer M.

For the past decade, Jennifer has helped clients identify the messaging they need to elevate their brands. As Director of Content Strategy, her greatest talent is taking complex content and simplifying it into concise, compelling prose. Jennifer holds an MA from the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she studied advertising and copywriting. When she’s not writing, you can find her spending time with her loved ones, including the newest member of the family — baby Violet!

  • Heather.

As Sol’s Project Manager, Heather provides transparency and structure for our clients. You may see her on calls, emails and Slack channels monitoring, prioritizing, clarifying and scheduling client requests. Utilizing her attention to detail, she aims to streamline processes and bring the client’s vision to life on-time and on-budget. When she’s not online, you can find her tending to her goat farm with her husband, Ray, and cute baby, Quinn.

  • Becca.

A self-described “expert generalist,” Becca utilizes her diverse background as a writer, consultant, educator, and enthusiasm enthusiast in her work as Sol’s Senior Content Manager. With almost a decade of experience in agencies, start-ups, non-profits, educational institutions, and more, Becca does everything from content strategy to celebrity ghostwriting, from planning major international giving campaigns to scribbling stories about robots and dragons. When she’s not writing, you might find her buried under piles of yarn, wrestling with her dog, or adventuring with her spouse.

  • Kathie.

Kathie is a front-end developer at Sol—she makes things function perfectly and look fabulous on the intra-webs. After graduating from Georgia State University with a degree in Computer Information Systems with a minor in Graphic Design and focus on Cybersecurity, Kathie joined the development team at Sol in 2017. Outside of work, you can find her painting, drawing, or hitting up the ATL food scene. Around noon in the office, you can find her and Troy arguing about what to order for lunch. (They often settle on poke, ramen, or Thai.)

  • Jake.

Jake joined the Sol team in February of 2016. As a lead designer and video editor at Sol, he has quite the skill set—typography, photography, animation, HTML, magic… An Atlanta native, Jake traveled north for school, where he attended Northeastern University and graduated with a degree in graphic design and an obsession with public transit. He also collects airline safety information cards. Jake shares the team’s indelicate sense of humor and love for seltzer.

  • Marie.

Marie Wendel has been programming since 2001, starting her career in the Microsoft space where she developed primarily for the Sharepoint portal. Over the years Marie transitioned into the Open Source community, which aligned with more of her clients’ needs as well as her programming acumen. Marie has been working with Sol for six years, working almost exclusively on custom web application projects. She is also an expert in server setup and AJAX. If she’s not caring for her cats River and Kaylee, then she’s likely creating armor and costumes for DragonCon.
